How do you plan to apply the knowledge and skills acquired from this course in your personal or professional life?
As an advocate for continuous professional development, I highly recommend the ATD Change Management Certificate course to any individual seeking to enhance their skills in navigating organizational change. The course provides an in-depth understanding of the tools, strategies, and techniques required to address current and future challenges in the business landscape effectively.

How did you initially become involved in the talent development field?
My journey into talent development began with a part-time position as a TD instructor for an organization. I discovered my passion for helping individuals develop and grow their skills through this role. After a year of working part time, I was offered a full-time position as a program manager responsible for overseeing the corporate training division within the organization. As a people-oriented individual, I find great fulfillment in helping others reach their full potential. The talent development field provides an excellent avenue to apply my skills and make a meaningful impact.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Throughout my life, I have been privileged to receive valuable advice from many wise individuals, making it challenging to select just one. However, a piece of advice that’s resonated with me over time is that true success is attained when our actions lead to the success of others. This principle has been a guiding light in my personal and professional life. I have found a deeper sense of fulfillment and purpose in my work by focusing on developing my skills and expertise to help others grow and succeed. This advice has helped me view my actions not only through the lens of personal achievement but also through their impact on others.

Can you recommend a great book you have read recently?
The Noticer by Andy Andrews. It's a great book about perspective.

What is your favorite hobby or pastime?
While I am a huge college football fan and an even bigger South Carolina Gamecocks fan, I also have a passion for backpacking. Exploring the mountains and hiking for a few days is an activity that brings me great joy. It provides a much-needed escape from the digital world and reminds me of the significance of life's simplest pleasures, which we often overlook in our busy lives.

What is the most unusual or unique job you have held?
Before starting a business career, I spent a decade working in law enforcement, including four years as a detective. The experiences and challenges accompanying this line of work provided numerous personal and professional development opportunities. In particular, my time in law enforcement equipped me with valuable skills in relationship building and conflict management, which have proven essential in my current role as a business professional. I have learned to navigate complex situations with tact and diplomacy, always striving to foster positive outcomes for all parties involved. My background in law enforcement has instilled in me a strong sense of dedication, perseverance, and resilience, which I draw upon daily in my pursuit of excellence in the business world.
